Hi everyone! Thank you for participating in the Soul Calibur Kink February(/March) Promptathon! We had 20 new prompts and two bingos, which is excellent.

Note that prompting over on the Main Prompt Post will remain open indefinitely, so if you have any ideas that come to you late, feel free to still drop them there anytime! I was hoping to do some prompts for the hard card, so I'll probably have a few more prompts I'll be leaving late.

And if you find a prompt that's inspiring, take a crack at filling it!

Hi everyone! Just a reminder that our Soul Calibur Kink Promptathon will be starting soon. Prompting opens up again in one week on February 1st, and you are encouraged to leave your prompts throughout the month of February in order to get bingo! Bingo cards are already available here for your prompt-planning.

Have you gotten your prompts written up yet? Admittedly, I haven't started brainstorming yet, but I will get them ready this week for sure. Hope everything is going well!

Hi everyone! I know it's been a while since this community was active, but I feel like Soulcalibur fandom has had a bit of a revival, so I wanted to share some current and upcoming activities.

First of all, today is the sixth anniversary(!) of Soulcalibur VI. Wow! Time flies!

Second, the SoulCalibur community on Tumblr is holding a Secret Santa gift exchange. Sign-ups close October 31st, assignments go out the week after, and gifts have to be posted between December 25th and January 1st. I'll definitely be signing up and if it's relevant to your interests, I hope to see you there too!

Finally, I am also planning an event for this community. It will be a Prompt-a-thon event to inject some new prompts into the main prompting post. But there will be a gamified aspect to it, where the goal is to hit certain requirements with your prompts (achievements) so as to fill up a bingo card. The cards will be released in advance, and there will be a limited time period when you need to post your prompts to have them count for your card, so basically, you're encouraged to brainstorm your prompts in advance and then post them along with everyone once the posting window opens.

However, I would like to wait to do this event until after the SoulCalibur Secret Santa is over, so I will probably start this up either in late December or early January. So look out for more information then!

And while we're waiting for the next event, let's talk about Raphael! He's a character who has gone through a lot of changes since he was first introduced in Soul Calibur II. Which game did you find Raphael's story/depiction most interesting? Where would you like to see the series take his character? What do you like most about his character?

I know it's been many months since my last update to Soul Calibur Kink. 2020 was just... a lot.

However, we got a new (well, updated) fill on our main post -- check it out!

And Soul Calibur VI has continued to get new content throughout the lockdown, most recently, Hwang DLC that came out on December 2nd. Your mod is finally caught up on SCVI stuff. But not everyone is, so I thought I should get some feedback about implementing rules about spoilers (like whether prompts/fills that involve recently-released content need a spoiler marking).

Speaking of rule changes, a while back when I was dusting off the comm, I relaxed the "all comments must be anon" rule. However, I never announced this change so it was badly implemented. In any case, I'd also like feedback about whether to keep this relaxation or revert back to the original rule.

Finally, I have plans for some events to run in the near future (February at the soonest, if that sounds good to people). But I have multiple ideas! So please let me know which one you'd like. Fill out the poll to let me know what you think (responses are anonymous).

Hi all, so sorry, I really dropped the ball on the last event. I was hoping to start a new event for February but the timing is a bit bad (I would prefer to post new events either on the 1st or halfway through a month) and I'm swamped anyway.

HOWEVER, let me plug some things with which you can entertain yourself during February instead of a Soul Calibur Kink event:

1)

electric_challenge: A bunch of activities through February themed around video games. Right now there's a video game friending meme up. Follow the community to find out about the rest of the activities!

2) Three Sentence Ficathon: A multi-fandom prompt meme where fills are three sentences long (or more, if you wish). Anonymous commenting is allowed. I might leave a few SC prompts there if I find some free time! Plus, you can always choose to fill an "Any fandom" prompt with SC fic.

Hi everyone, just a reminder that we have a new event: Soul Calibur Stocking Stuffing. Request stuff and maybe get some gifts! The deadline for requesting and posting gifts is December 31.

Our main post is also always open for prompts and fills.

And we currently have a discussion post on Hilde and SCVI season 2. Next week I'll also be posting a new discussion post.

The event this time around is a low-key gift-giving event in the style of

fandom_stocking. Basically, you leave a comment here any time from now until the end of the month requesting up to 5 gifts, and people can reply to your comment with little gifts.

Your requests can be as general or as specific as you like. You can request fanworks of any medium, including fic, art, icons or other graphics/edits, fanvids, poetry, meta, recs -- whatever you like! Just note that all requests must be Soul Calibur-related.

It's perfectly fine to post wishlists and gifts either signed in OR anonymous.

This event is hopefully a low-pressure way to get some little gifts tailor-made for you. You aren't guaranteed to get anything, but being real, I'm going to try to make a gift for everyone who requests something.
